Job Description:
CAD Technician
Bellevue, WA
Contract: 6 Months
We are seeking an outstanding Mechanical Engineer Drafter who combines exceptional technical and analytical capabilities with a proven ability to deliver results efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing 3D families and layouts of material handling equipment using Autodesk Revit, as well as producing comprehensive 10+ page detailed specification documents.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with multiple stakeholders and deliver high-quality, standards-compliant designs on time.
Basic Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field
Experience:
3+ years working in a 3D design environment
Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, including layout creation and sheet creation
Proven ability to deliver detailed drawing packets that include views, dimensions, and annotations while following established standards and templates
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with ambiguous direction
Capable of setting priorities, working independently or in collaboration with teams, and managing minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Strong parametric modeling background with experience creating detailed families and/or parts utilizing code or functions to drive modularity
Knowledge of material handling equipment, storage systems, and warehouse design
Experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, ACC, and Navisworks
Experience creating or improving drawing standards and SOPs
Familiarity with managing different levels of detail and ensuring scalability in designs.
