We re Hiring Product Manager

Rate: $80 $85/hr (C2C / W2)
Location: Local to Bay Area, CA Onsite once a week in Oakland
Type: Contract-to-Hire

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead agile product delivery for technology products and operational processes. This role will support Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) planning and execution initiatives within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment. The ideal candidate is highly independent, accountable, and thrives in complex, fast-paced situations while driving measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle: planning, development, launch, and sunsetting of technology and process-driven products.

  • Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and service providers to define product goals, roadmaps, and success criteria.

  • Gather requirements, define user problem statements, create functional specifications, and oversee iterative delivery.

  • Drive Agile ceremonies and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure on-time and high-quality product delivery.

  • Track and manage financials, business cases, and regulatory requirements tied to product initiatives.

  • Conduct user acceptance testing, product demos, and retrospectives to ensure deliverables meet acceptance criteria and business outcomes.

  • Support regulatory filings, RFPs, and compliance activities by preparing content, reports, and presentations.

  • Provide regular updates to leadership on product progress, risks, and lessons learned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Psychology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of product management experience, preferably in energy, utilities, or large-scale enterprise environments.

  • Strong expertise with Agile/Scrum or SAFe methodologies.

  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and drive alignment across business and technical teams.

  • Hands-on experience with financial tracking, regulatory processes, and market analysis.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; able to influence at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with utility, energy, or public safety programs.

  • Familiarity with cloud, data analytics, or enterprise platforms.

  • MBA or advanced certification in Product Management or Agile frameworks
