Description: Job Title: Technical Support Engineer - Hardware Systems

Location: On-site - Los Angeles, California

About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Technical Support Engineer to join our team and support the implementation, testing, and repair of advanced electronic hardware systems. In this role, you'll work directly with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure product performance aligns with technical specifications and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements based on customer requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Recommend and coordinate technical solutions with internal teams and customer stakeholders.
  • Conduct technical training sessions and product briefings for customers and partners.
  • Serve as the on-site technical liaison, representing the company at the customer's location.
  • Execute hands-on tasks including soldering, de-soldering, bonding, chemical mixing, and component-level repairs.
  • Operate commercial and program-specific test equipment to validate and repair electronic and mechanical systems.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and written procedures to guide diagnostics and repairs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or associate degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent military/technical training.
  • 3-5 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
  • 3-5 years of experience in electronic troubleshooting and component-level fault isolation.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with electro-optical sensor systems.
  • 3-5 years of experience in electronics maintenance (commercial or military), including hand tool usage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and rework stations.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of electronic systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 35 pounds and working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
