Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Career-level Systems Engineer - Interiors (Experienced) to support the C-32/C-40 Interiors Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT). This Level 3 position is located in Oklahoma City.

The C-32/C-40 Interiors SEIT has responsibility to support studies, estimates, and modifications to a fleet of VIP aircraft supporting transport of US government officials. Systems Engineers on the team perform requirements development, management, and verification for modifications affecting interior components such as seats, galleys, lavatories, and coverings. The team completes extensive work with third-party suppliers to provide VIP standard, certified updates to aircraft interiors.

Basic:
  • Engineering Bachelor's degree and 5 years experience
  • Experience developing requirements for aircraft modification or upgrade
  • Experience performing and documenting verification of modification requirements
  • Experience working with suppliers on modification projects, including writing Supplier Statements of Work, reviewing supplier deliverables for adequacy, and addressing supplier inquiries to ensure understanding of requirements

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires ship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Preferred:
  • Experience evaluating customer needs to define and coordinate requirements for interiors modification and upgrade
  • Experience performing trade studies for the replacement of aircraft interiors equipment and systems on in-service fleet
  • Experience interacting with and coordinating activity of other engineering capabilities to ensure completion of modification activity

This position is 100% onsite.
