Sr Technical Lead/SME (Retail)
Remote
Sr Technical Lead/SME (Retail) to work on a modernization initiative involving elimination of legacy processes including mainframe jobs, Unix, ESQL scripts and legacy databases such as DB2 and Informix. This requires building an end-to-end business process with multiple technologies including cloud and future tech stack.
Retail Knowledge in Supply Chain area like GRS, OMS, WMS etc is a must have
Responsibilities
Understand existing processes and dependencies in current businesso Define technology solutions and roadmap for implementing new system
o Maintain active relationships with project stakeholders to understand business requirements, leads requirements gathering meetings and reviews designs with the product owner
o Implement solutions to meet business and IT needs, ensuring technical viability of new projects and successful deployments, while orchestrating key resources and infusing key Infrastructure, Application Development
o Ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment
o Identify and implement best practices and coach the stakeholders as needed
o Create technical documentation and maintain the knowledge repositories
o Adjust quickly to changing priorities and make quick decisions with limited information
o Collaborate with Architects, Software developers and application SMEs in implementing complex end-to-end enterprise solutions
o Work in onsite/offshore modelo Agile execution
o Retail Knowledge in Supply Chain area like GRS, OMS, WMS etc
Tech Skills
Java and related technologies
Strong knowledge in cloud technologies and databases
Understand mainframe, Unix and legacy applications
Knowledge in service architecture and data pipelines
Knowledge in data lakes and data pools
Experience in building applications in modernization space
Knowledge of Agile Software Development Methodology
Strong communicator with the ability to work effectively across multiple business and engineering teams
Ability to learn new technologies and implement solutions based on business requirements
15 years of experience in application design and development
