.NET Architect / Senior Engineer
Direct-Hire / Full Time
REMOTE (1st choice - Pennsylvania / PA state, Cranberry Township / Warrendale, PA) - EST States (2nd) - Rest of US (3rd)
We are looking for a skilled .NET Architect / Senior Engineer with extensive exposure to legacy technology FoxPro/Visual FoxPro. Strong understanding of Application design concepts and SQL backend. Along with this expected to have good knowledge of Angular and Visual FoxPro frontend development. Possess excellent customer handling skills and to be able to work with people across geographical locations. Experience with Healthcare domain is highly preferred.
Skills / Experience
- Overall 13+ years of experience and 10+ years of experience with Designing, developing .NET applications and SQL Server
- 5+ years of experience with legacy technologies (FoxPro, Visual FoxPro), Git, Atlassian Cloud (JIRA/Confluence/Bitbucket), Team Foundation server (TFS)
- Experience working with Angular; Technologies / Tools - Visual Studio, VS Code, Visual FoxPro, SQL Server, Git; Mostly back-end code, though UI work may be required on occasion (FoxPro, Angular)
- Experience architecting and developing new features in an existing, complex system, while keeping existing features functional
- Excellent troubleshooting skills - deep-dive into complex issues, pouring over logs and code to understand the root cause of issues and develop fix; outreach to customer may be needed on occasion
- Ability to wear multiple hats during the project - write/review stories, conduct code reviews, respond to customer escalations, write documentation, perform testing and release activities
- Provide constructive feedback during code reviews and be open to receiving feedback on your own code
- Analytical mindset; Provides regular updates, proactive and due diligent to carry out responsibilities
- Prior experience in working on Agile/Scrum projects with exposure to tools like Jira/Azure DevOps
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking; Capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain productive relationships with team members
- BS in Computer Science IT / CIS / related disciplines or equivalent experience
- Communicate effectively with internal and customer stakeholders
- Communication approach: verbal, emails and instant messages
