Job Details
IT Architect Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of an IT Architect for a contract position in New York, NY(Hybrid). The opportunity will be five months with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Position Summary: This team aims to evaluate existing tech stacks within the Bank, improve or rebuild outdated or inefficient processes, and ensure the integration of any new deployments goes smoothly.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Evaluating existing tech stacks within the Bank, and providing/actioning process improvements.
- Evaluating existing vendor relationships as well as vendor tools to identify areas for improvement.
- Assisting in the implementation of any new tools ensuring that the integration into the production environment runs smoothly.
- UAT testing and configuration for any new tools/assets.
- Working with systems within the US, CANADA, and Europe, as well as across multiple asset classes within the bank.
- Heavy use of FIX protocol.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal, written, communication skills.
- Organized, ability to prioritize.
- 10 years in a similar role at major financial institutions.
- Previous experience with FIX protocol. Experience with other protocols and messaging formats such as Kafka, gRPC, MQ, JSON is a plus.
- Previous experience with OMS, such as Fidessa, FlexTrade, Tbricks, WEX, TRAFiX etc.
- Previous experience with equities. Experience with other asset classes such as options, futures, and fixed income is a plus.
