Piper Companies is seeking a DevOps Manager to lead our DevOps team in building the next generation of Wealth Management systems, focusing on system stability, performance, and monitoring. This role requires hands-on expertise and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities of the DevOps Manager:
- Manage a team of DevOps engineers across all stacks.
- Promote growth and collaboration within the team and across departments.
- Manage highly scalable and distributed systems on cloud-based platforms.
- Automate infrastructure-develop configuration management code for scalability, reliability, and security.
- Identify key system metrics and ensure comprehensive monitoring of new and existing services.
- Build resiliency mechanisms to maintain platform health and performance.
- Oversee deployments, upgrades, and configurations in controlled production environments.
- Lead complex, high-visibility projects requiring expertise across multiple domains.
- Provide strategic guidance on different DevOps approaches.
Qualifications of the DevOps Manager:
- 5+ years of managing a team. Also, AWS expertise with hands-on cloud operations.
- Linux proficiency (RedHat, Ubuntu, etc.) for troubleshooting and management.
- Experience operating and troubleshooting SQL databases in production environments.
- Kubernetes, Docker, and HashiCorp products for containerized infrastructure.
- Expertise in automation/configuration management (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, etc.).
- Project management skills with subject matter expertise and technical leadership.
- Proficiency in APM tools (NewRelic, AppDynamics, Dynatrace) and monitoring/log analysis tools (Splunk, CloudWatch, Nagios, SysDig).

$120,000 - $175,000
