Job Details

Akkodis is seeking a Technical Field Manager for a contract position within the Product Quality and Technical Service team in Herndon VA . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive technical support and experience with automotive or other European OEM vehicles.

Pay Rate: $40-$50/hour on W2 The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Southern Region Technical Field Manager Responsibilities:
  • Improve the customer service experience through the prompt and accurate repair of vehicles, while addressing and resolving quality issues.
  • Conduct in-depth on-site technical analysis as part of the AG process for the resolution of product quality issues.
  • Report emerging vehicle quality issues to Product Support specialists.
  • Report any shortcomings in service information (internal), such as errors in repair information, missing tools, wiring diagrams, etc.
  • Support dealers in diagnosing and repairing difficult-to-localize product shortcomings on customer vehicles.
  • Partner with Region teams and Customer Care teams in resolving sensitive customer vehicle technical issues.

Required Skills:
  • Prior technical experience with or other European OEMs.
  • Strong automotive technical knowledge and hands-on experience with automotive technical issue diagnosis.
  • Ability to work effectively within teams and support others.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision.
  • Driven, self-motivated, and performance-oriented with a focus on self-development.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license and passport.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in retail service as a certified master technician or similar technical roles with vehicle manufacturers.
  • Associate Degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent degree/certification.
  • Automotive High Voltage certification/training.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical subject (e.g., ASE A1-A8 + L1).

Pay Details: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour
