Desktop Support Technician

TEKsystems is seeking a Desktop Support/PC Technician for one of our clients based out of Westlake, OH. This team of four members provides technical assistance to internal employees, addressing escalated technical issues, managing equipment setup, and deploying new systems. The role primarily involves imaging and deploying computers, ensuring new devices are set up efficiently while meeting tight deadlines. After the initial deployment phase, continuous device refreshment and support for new users will remain essential responsibilities. The process follows established checklists and procedures to ensure accuracy in software installation and device readiness.

Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to incident tickets related to operating system functionality, business applications, and hardware issues.
• Set up computer hardware and install/configure necessary software.
• Maintain and repair computer equipment and peripheral devices.
• Provide second-tier support for escalated technical issues.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for end users.
• Familiarity with system administration, PC hardware, and networking technologies.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to document issues and resolutions effectively.
• Quick learner who works well in a team environment.

Education:

• A bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, but a high school diploma is required.

Skills:

• System administration, troubleshooting, hardware maintenance, deployment support, and technical assistance.
• Strong ability to work independently while seeking guidance when necessary.
• Effective documentation and communication skills.

Experience Level:

• Intermediate-level expertise preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $25.00/hr.
