Job Title: Project Manager / Business Systems Analyst Life Sciences (Benchling)
Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite/Hybrid Preferred)
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Project Manager / Business Systems Analyst with strong experience in the Life Sciences domain and hands-on expertise with Benchling. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, IT, and business stakeholders to implement, support, and optimize Benchling and related scientific platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between scientific users, IT, and vendors to gather requirements, define scope, and deliver solutions in Benchling.
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycle including planning, execution, tracking, risk mitigation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with lab scientists and research teams to translate scientific workflows into system solutions.
  • Drive implementation and integration of Benchling with other enterprise systems (e.g., LIMS, ELN, ERP).
  • Create documentation including BRDs, FRDs, UAT scripts, process flows, and training materials.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, status updates, and project reviews.
  • Ensure data integrity, system validation, and compliance with GxP or relevant regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3 5+ years of experience in Life Sciences domain working as a Project Manager, Business Systems Analyst, or related role.
  • Hands-on experience with Benchling configuration, deployment, user support, or integration.
  • Strong understanding of scientific R&D workflows, molecular biology, and lab informatics platforms.
  • Proven project management skills (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Benchling certifications or implementation experience in biotech/pharma organizations.
  • Experience with GxP-compliant environments or regulated biotech/biopharma industries.
  • Familiarity with data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • PMP, CBAP, or equivalent certifications.
