Must-Have:

• Strong hands-on experience with DB2 Database Administration on Mainframe and distributed environments.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and SQL Server administration, maintenance, and performance tuning.
• Experience in database installation, configuration, backup/recovery, replication, and migration.
• Skilled in query optimization, indexing strategies, and SQL tuning for high-performance systems.
• Expertise in user access control, security management, and data integrity enforcement
• Familiarity with database monitoring tools and automation of routine DBA tasks.

Good-to-Have:

• Experience with AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or other cloud database management systems.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Exposure to DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and database-as-code practices.
• Understanding of disaster recovery, clustering, and high-availability (HA/DR) configurations.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for troubleshooting and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize DB2, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server databases in production and non-production environments.
• Perform installation, patching, upgrades, and performance monitoring of database systems.
• Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to ensure data resilience and business continuity.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks proactively.
• Support database design, schema management, and index optimization for development teams.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless data integration.
• Implement and enforce data security policies, including user management and encryption standards.
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, SOPs, and audit reports.
