This is an on-site position where the candidate is expected to be on-site at the U.S. Capital in WA DC Monday through Friday. Location is both MARC train and DC metro rail accessible. Period of performance is 6 years U.S. Senate Information Technology Support Contract V (ITSC V), which covers IT services for Senate offices nationwide: The Information Technology Support Contract V (ITSC V) is a major procurement issued by the U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms (SAA). It provides comprehensive IT support services to: Senate Member offices Committees Leadership offices Officer offices Locations in Washington, D.C. and across all 50 states The U.S. Senate Information Technology Support Contract V (ITSC V) provides nationwide IT support for a wide range of Senate offices. Here's a breakdown of the locations covered: ITSC V Coverage Areas The contract supports Senate operations in: 1. Washington, D.C. U.S. Capitol Complex: Including Member offices, Committee rooms, Leadership offices, and Officer offices. Senate Office Buildings: Such as Hart, Dirksen, and Russell Senate Office Buildings. Capitol Police and SAA Facilities: Where applicable IT infrastructure is maintained. 2. All 50 U.S. States State-Based Senate Offices: Each Senator maintains one or more constituent service offices in their home state. These offices require: Workstation and server support Network connectivity Help desk and remote troubleshooting On-site installation and maintenance 3. Remote and Mobile Support Support extends to mobile devices and remote work setups used by Senate staff. Includes secure VPN access, mobile device management, and remote diagnostics. Office Types Supported Member Offices: Individual Senators' offices Committee Offices: Legislative committees with specialized IT needs Leadership Offices: Offices of Senate leadership (e.g., Majority/Minority Leader) Officer Offices: Offices like the Secretary of the Senate and Sergeant at Arms This broad geographic and organizational scope ensures that ITSC V vendors must be capable of delivering consistent, secure, and responsive IT services across diverse environments-from high-security Capitol Hill networks to small regional offices in rural states. The contract includes: Help desk and end-user support Hardware and software maintenance (workstations, servers, mobile devices) Installation and configuration Network and cybersecurity support Audiovisual and telecommunication services Ticketing and service management The ITSC V contract provides comprehensive outsourced IT services to support the operations of the U.S. Senate, including: 1. End-User Support Help desk services for Senate staff across Member, Committee, Leadership, and Officer offices On-site and remote troubleshooting Support for mobile devices, desktops, laptops, and peripherals 2. Hardware & Software Services Acquisition, installation, and maintenance of: Workstations Servers Operating systems Application software Lifecycle management and asset tracking 3. Network & Infrastructure Support Configuration and support for Senate networks Coordination with Senate IT teams for secure connectivity Audiovisual and telecommunication systems integration 4. Ticketing & Service Management Use of Senate-specific ticketing systems to manage service requests Timely resolution of installation and support tickets Reporting and analytics on service performance 5. Certifications & Compliance Staff must meet specific certification requirements (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) Adherence to Senate security and privacy protocols 6. Nationwide Coverage Services are required not only in Washington, D.C. but also in all 50 states Coordination with regional Senate offices for installations and support Technical Requirements 1. Directing a nationwide team of installers, internal and external 2. Managing a group dedicated to purchasing, warehousing, and managing all assets 3. Managing customer satisfaction in an all-VIP environment What hardware is the team installing? None, team will utilize a provider instance of ServiceNow to direct the external team, GDIT Oracle systems to order products and ServiceNow to schedule with customers Is imaging part of the team's responsibilities? Yes What's the technical environment? Technical tools range from Warehouse tools such as Blue Yonder, CubiScan, RF scanners to planning software, Oracle, and Warehouse Management System software. Are there specific asset management tools required (e.g., ServiceNow)? ServiceNow Will the Installation Manager / team need to troubleshoot network connectivity issues? Yes Travel Expectations: What are the expected travel locations and frequency? No travel Daily Responsibilities Can you provide a more granular breakdown of day-to-day duties? Each day starts by checking on customer orders to ensure we are meeting our 10 day SLA. If a shipment needs to be re-prioritized to meet an SLA, the Installation Manager directs the change. For the shipments to be completed today, the Installation Manager ensures we have people to install the equipment (ensuring we have dedicated sub-contractors at all state offices and internal support for all Senate complex locations). The Installation Manager ensures the team has the equipment required to be able to install all products, ensuring special instructions are delivered. The Installation Manager provides ticket escalation for any issues the installation team encounters. He ensures that work is completed on time and that customer satisfaction surveys are sent to customers. What does an "A" candidate look like?
