General Summary:
We are seeking a Cloud Solution Engineer to join a collaborative and growing IT Services team. This role will be focused on implementing and maintaining Microsoft Entra ID cloud solutions that meet evolving business needs. The engineer will help build cloud architecture documentation, manage cloud migration strategies, and ensure scalable, reliable solutions that align with company objectives.
The engineer will support ongoing migration efforts from on-premise platforms to the cloud and work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery. Staying current on cloud best practices and Microsoft Entra ID technologies is essential, as is maintaining compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Infrastructure Management:

• Support design, administration, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, networks, and storage solutions.
• Manage resource groups and subscriptions for governance and cost control.
• Assist with assessments of on-premise infrastructure for cloud readiness and support seamless migration strategies.
• Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, identity management, and access controls.

SQL Database Administration:

• Manage Azure SQL databases, ensuring security, availability, and performance.
• Perform on-premises SQL Server maintenance, including upgrades, system tuning, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Optimize SQL queries and manage database capacity planning for future growth.
• Handle database security, access controls, encryption, and auditing for both on-premises and cloud environments.

Collaboration and Support:

• Provide advanced support for end users and quickly resolve technical issues.
• Work closely with development, operations, and product management teams to gather requirements and offer cloud-based solutions.
• Foster collaboration across teams and maintain clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Create and maintain cloud solution documentation, best practices, and deployment methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting Microsoft networks.
• Certifications in Azure cloud solutions or database administration are preferred (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Azure Database Administrator Associate).
• Experience with PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS cloud models.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, including identity and access management, MFA, and web security best practices.
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and SQL.
• Solid networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, and subnetting.
• Experience troubleshooting complex LAN/WAN issues using tools like Wireshark.
• Strong project collaboration skills and a demonstrated ability to automate and modernize legacy systems.
