Our Portfolio & Governance team owns, manages and educates / coaches staff on the processes, templates, tools and reporting associated with both planning and delivering our project portfolio. The team is seeking an experienced, high energy IT Portfolio Analyst with a technical aptitude who, under minimal supervision, will perform the following duties with speed and quality while still having fun.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Owns the creation and distribution of standard weekly and bi-weekly portfolio reporting.
  • Owns and facilitates weekly portfolio-related meetings, including creating and distributing agendas in advance.
  • Owns and facilitates the work intake / ideation process, including ensuring completion of submission forms as well as initial scoring and assessment of the effort and all associated information is loaded into the PPM tool.
  • Owns Stage Gating in respect to ensuring all required deliverables and activities have been completed for every project within the Portfolio given their methodology and required rigor.
  • Remains abreast of our PM Methodology and PPM standards to provide day-to-day support to our Project Managers and to know the Stage Gate requirements.
  • Owns performing capacity / demand analysis at key Stage Gates of each project and during annual planning to ensure we are caring for our people by not scheduling beyond their capacity.
  • Build trust and effective working relationships with Project and Delivery Managers
  • Owns setting up and maintaining portfolio and sub-portfolios within the PPM Tool.
  • Owns ensuring data quality of key investment attributes and other data within the PPM tool to support automated reporting and other processes.
  • Identify and monitor portfolio risks.
  • Supports portfolio planning efforts, as needed.
  • Creates and maintains process documentation.
  • Participates and, at times, facilitates team meetings.
  • Provide recommendations for process/template/system improvements to support fact-based decision making.
  • When needed, assist in designing, testing, documenting and rolling out / training users on new PPM functionality and / or PM Methodology changes.
  • When possible or needed, create custom Views within the PPM tool for use by others.
  • When possible or needed, assist in refining and / or documenting PM Methodology processes or templates.
  • Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify problems, review information to develop and evaluate options.
  • Abilities to communicate across all levels of the organization and to clearly articulate ideas both verbally and in writing are required.
  • High technical aptitude; ability to quickly learn system functions and configurations.
  • An understanding of Project, Program and/or Portfolio Management along with Agile Scrum.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Minimum of three years of progressive analytical experience.
  • Ability set priorities and adapt to changes while still working independently, efficiently and accurately under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent soft skills to provide great customer service, e.g., adaptability, emotional intelligence, perseverance, active listening.
  • Clarity PPM tool experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle is preferred.


Educational Requirements:
  • This position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • PMI Certification is preferred
