Client is seeking a Jira expert to design and implement a unified, program-level dashboard that consolidates visibility across multiple hardware and software development projects. Each product includes several parallel efforts-such as firmware, embedded systems, and software-that currently operate in siloed Jira environments.


The consultant will configure Jira Plans (Advanced Roadmaps) to provide a single, high-level view connecting project milestones, dependencies, and deliverables. The end goal is to enable leadership to visualize progress, manage cross-team dependencies, and make informed, data-driven decisions across the entire product portfolio.


This engagement focuses on configuration, rollout, documentation, and knowledge transfer, ensuring internal teams can maintain the system after delivery.

  • Develop a Consolidated Jira Dashboard




    • Build a program-level roll-up view integrating multiple existing Jira projects and plans.




    • Display overall project health, milestones, and deliverables at both detailed and summary levels.




    • Enable traceability between Jira epics, engineering stages, and milestone progress.






  • Ensure Consistency Across Projects




    • Standardize workflows, fields, and issue types for accurate portfolio-level reporting.




    • Align naming conventions, milestone tracking, and workflow logic across teams.






  • Integrate Milestone Tracking




    • Map project stages to standardized terminology and process checkpoints.




    • Support traceability between engineering progress and organizational milestones.






  • Cross-Team Coordination




    • Collaborate with distributed teams managing independent Jira instances or templates.




    • Ensure alignment of data fields, workflow logic, and status tracking.






  • Training and Documentation




    • Create written documentation, workflow diagrams, and configuration guides.




    • Deliver a walkthrough or Q&A session to train internal users on system maintenance.

  • Hands-on experience with Jira Advanced Roadmaps (Jira Plans).




  • Proven ability to configure multi-project dashboards and portfolio-level reporting.




  • Strong understanding of Jira administration, workflows, and field configurations.




  • Skilled in Confluence documentation and knowledge transfer.




  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and engineering program management principles.
