In the role of a Transportation Data Scientist, we'll count on you to:
- Assist on traffic engineering projects, exercise sound engineering judgment, and
- Perform data analysis tasks, including writing SQL queries for data aggregation and visualization
- Develop dashboards summarizing a variety of data
- Develop report documents detailing analysis methodology and outcomes
- Participate in work sessions in conjunction with other staff
- Coordinate workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of tasks on schedule and within budget
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- EI preferred
- Experience with cloud-based data analytics platforms, such as Google Big Query, Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure/Databricks
- Experience with summarizing findings from analytical processes
- Python, Pandas scripting
- Tableau/Power BI
- SQL Query writing/Database development
- Process-oriented mindset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and ability to work in a team environment

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
- A minimum of 5 years of systems analysis, applications development and support experience with business applications
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
