Role: Senior Network Architect - Only W2

Location: Remote, USA

Role Overview: We seek a Senior Network Architect to design, implement, and manage secure, reliable, and cost-effective global network solutions for a major international event, ideally in Media, Entertainment, or Sports Broadcasting. Based in Los Angeles, the role requires periodic US and potential international travel and strong English proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and evolve network architecture, ensuring reliable end-to-end design, implementation, and operation through stakeholder collaboration (e.g., Telecom Service Provider, Network Equipment Provider, Cyber Security, Venue IT).
• Provide technical oversight, review designs, and ensure compliance with functional/non-functional requirements via pilots and testing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., Olympic Broadcasting Services, press agencies) to capture requirements and test solutions.
• Optimize costs, manage risks, and modernize network designs (e.g., Network-as-a-Service, 5G, SD-WAN) while meeting security, latency, and high-availability standards.
• Lead innovation, develop scalable architectures, and capture lessons learned to support broader telecom services (e.g., Broadcast Contribution Network, telephony).
• Mentor junior engineers and provide thought leadership to align strategy with actionable plans.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years in enterprise networking, with hands-on experience designing/implementing mission-critical global networks for major organizations.
• Experience in high-profile live-broadcast sporting events or TV broadcasting is a strong plus.
• Proven ability to manage network projects end-to-end, including budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to influence executives, technical teams, and partners.
• Ability to conduct network assessments, manage test labs, and propose innovative, cost-effective solutions.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in LAN/WAN design (Layer 2/3, SD-WAN, WAN acceleration), high-density Wi-Fi (e.g., stadiums), and network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLAN, VPNs).
• Experience with media/broadcast connectivity, DDoS protection, and multicast protocols (IGMP, PIM).
• Knowledge of 5G architecture (5 RAN, network slicing, MEC), Open RAN, NFV, and spectrum allocation (CBRS, mmWave).
• Familiarity with dark fiber, DWDM, VoIP/IPT, and video delivery (IPTV, streaming).
• Strong understanding of network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS) and US regulatory compliance
