Uniface Developer / DBA

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Experience with Uniface technology

Experience with low-code development

Experience developing and deploying code using the Uniface language

Strong knowledge of Uniface triggers, components, and services

Experience in integrating applications with existing systems & third-party APIs

Experience with relational & SQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.)

Proficiency in Uniface scripting, debugging, and troubleshooting

Familiarity with web services (SOAP/REST), XML and middleware integration

Experience in modernizing Uniface applications

Knowledge of Uniface with cloud platforms

Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and scripting

Understanding of security best practices in Uniface applications

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience in designing, building, and configuring applications using Uniface

Experience working in Agile or Waterfall methodologies

Knowledge of version control systems such as Git

Understanding of software testing principles and techniques

Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Roles & Responsibilities

Application Development & Maintenance

Design, develop, and maintain applications using Uniface

Implement forms, triggers, services, and batch processes

Enhance existing applications and optimize performance

Database Integration & Management

Work with Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or other databases

Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers

Ensure seamless database connectivity and performance

Application Support & Troubleshooting

Debug and resolve application issues in Uniface

Work with end-users and business analysts to fix defects and improve functionality

Provide technical support and perform system enhancements.

Integration & Middleware Development

Develop and maintain integrations between Uniface applications and other

enterprise systems (APIs, Web Services, etc.)

Work with middleware tools to ensure data exchange between different platforms

Performance Optimization & Code Review

Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices

Optimize applications for scalability, reliability, and speed

Documentation & Process Improvement

Create and maintain technical documentation for Uniface applications

Participate in process improvement initiatives and suggest best practices
