Grip Specialist, Dealer Training & Productivity

The Global Dealer Training & Productivity team helps dealers work smarter, not harder, with targeted training, data, strategy and more. Together, our team:
  • Ensures dealers have the content and training they need when they need it. Our focus is delivering unified coaching, a data-driven ecosystem and new productivity technologies so the right content, by the right people, reaches them at the right time.
  • Helps dealers become more strategic in diagnosing gaps and developing solutions
  • Equips dealers with what they need to succeed and help them develop into trusted advisors to customers
  • Works with dealers to improve business metrics, lower turnover, and increase customer satisfaction
  • Responds to a shifting customer base with diverse preferences to transform customer experiences


What you'll do...

The Grip Specialist will help execute efficient and creative lighting setups for internal training content at Ford Motor Company. The candidate will have the opportunity to push creative boundaries in making engaging content. Alongside the Lighting Specialist, the role allows for input from pre-production to production, contributing ideas for: a strong workflow, improvement from previous shoots, and new and innovative ways to provide the best quality to our content.
  • The execution of grip setups, car rigging, lighting plans/lighting diagrams
  • Creatively envision new and exciting ways to support/grip training content
  • Utilize the tried and true techniques to light vehicles, extremely mindful of reflections and highlights
  • Guide Production Utilities to operate the lighting and grip safely and efficiently

This candidate will have the opportunity to shape light for videos at Ford and Lincoln. They will also be able to flex their creative thinking skills by pitching ideas during creative design meetings. The candidate is a highly motivated self-starter. They must be a team player who thinks positively, even when hurdles and unexpected obstacles arise. This candidate ideally understands how flexible productions operate. This person should have a passion for new technology in lighting and gripping. They should deeply value safety, and understand the importance of creating safe filming sets.

You'll have...
  • High School Diploma
  • 4+ years experience in entertainment/marketing/advertising on-set with grip and electric
  • Must have a current production portfolio


Even better, you may have...
  • 5+ years of professional experience working on video productions, either in-house or on-set
  • 4+ years as a Gaffer or Key Grip
  • The ability to think creatively and offer input
  • Credits displaying the caliber of high quality, accomplished work we intend to create
  • Management experience, whether on set or in post, leading camera teams
  • Proficient in Adobe CC (including Premiere, After Effects, Audition), Davinci Resolve, MS Office (including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
