The Role: Client-Focused Delivery Leadership
This executive-level position is heavily focused on client relationship management and direct engagement. You'll be the face of our client s delivery organization, working directly with government executives and stakeholders while leading their consulting teams to exceptional outcomes. This role requires someone with boundless energy who can juggle multiple high-level client relationships while driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Excellence (Primary Focus)
- Direct Client Engagement: Serve as primary relationship owner for our most strategic government clients, maintaining C-level and executive relationships
- Stakeholder Management: Navigate complex government stakeholder environments, building trust and driving consensus across multiple agencies
- Client Success: Ensure every engagement exceeds expectations, turning clients into long-term partners and references
- Conference participation and presentations: Provide thought leadership and present best practices and vision of our core competencies and lessons learned
Pre-Sales & Business Development Leadership
- Proposal Leadership: Lead proposal strategy and development, leveraging deep consulting expertise to win competitive government contracts
- Client Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations to government executives and selection committees
- Thought Leadership: Position the firm as the go-to partner for complex government IT initiatives
Delivery Operations Management
- Project Oversight: Ensure flawless execution across all client engagements, maintaining our reputation for excellence
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a growing team of engagement managers and specialized consultants
- Quality Assurance: Establish delivery standards & process that consistently exceed government client expectations
- Contract Management: Successfully negotiate contracts with clients, sub-contractors, and partners
Strategic Growth Driver
- Partnership Development: Identify and develop strategic delivery partnerships to expand our capabilities
- Vendor Community Relations: Develop and maintain relationships within the government IT vendor community, negotiating and facilitating teaming arrangements and partnerships on opportunities
- Service Evolution: Drive development of new service offerings based on market needs and client feedback
- Financial Performance: Optimize project profitability while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction
What We're Looking For
Experience & Background
- 8-15 years in IT consulting and/or services with substantial public sector focus in California
- Proven track record managing complex government IT projects and relationships
- Technical depth in at least one specialty area (Data/AI, Project Management, Business Analysis, or Software Development)
- Hands-on consulting expertise in requirements gathering, solution design, and stakeholder management

Work Environment & Expectations
- Location: Sacramento, CA area - relocation required if not local
- Not a remote position: Regular onsite presence required at both our office and client locations throughout Northern California
- Comfortable and responsive work style that aligns with client demand and time-critical business cycles
- Travel: Regular travel to client sites throughout the Sacramento region and California
