Job Details

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, publish, and maintain enterprise reference architectures and technology standards.

  • Lead modernization efforts to transition legacy systems into cloud-native or hybrid architectures.

  • Architect and oversee system integrations with platforms such as Salesforce, Appian, and Azure.

  • Design secure, scalable cloud solutions aligned with state and federal security frameworks.

  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals and citizen engagement.

  • Provide technical guidance to development teams and oversee solution architecture.

  • Promote data interoperability, compliance, and protection standards.

  • Research emerging technologies to improve efficiency, automation, and service delivery.

  • Document and maintain roadmaps, standards, and architectural blueprints.

  • Communicate complex technical strategies to non-technical audiences effectively.

  • Support architecture governance, ensuring compliance with enterprise policies.

  • Develop business capability models and ensure technology roadmaps support strategic initiatives.

Required Experience

  • 6+ years of professional IT experience with a Bachelor s degree, OR

  • 10+ years of professional IT experience (no degree), OR

  • An equivalent combination of experience and education.

Must have experience in:

  • Application development and modernization.

  • Enterprise reference architectures and technology standards.

  • API design and secure system integrations.

  • Azure Cloud architecture or equivalent cloud environments.

  • Technology roadmaps and enterprise-wide IT strategy development.

  • Translating complex technical concepts into actionable business solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: TOGAF 9.x, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Salesforce Application Architect.

  • Prior experience in state or federal government projects.

  • Knowledge of low-code platforms such as Appian (workflows, case management).

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, geospatial systems, or regulatory data standards.
