Job Details
Position: Kafka Administrator
Location: New Jersey
Interview Mode: Face-to-Face Required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Confluent Kafka clusters in a highly available, production-grade environment.
- Perform Kafka upgrades and patching, ensuring minimal downtime and business continuity.
- Implement and manage Kafka security, including access controls, authentication, and encryption protocols.
- Monitor cluster health and performance using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as broker outages, partition reassignment, and replication lag.
- Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash) to streamline routine operational tasks.
- Assist in capacity planning and performance tuning to support future growth and scalability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of Kafka administration experience, preferably with Confluent Kafka.
- Proven experience handling Kafka upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Strong background in Linux system administration.
- Scripting skills in Python and/or Bash for automating administrative tasks.
- Hands-on experience with Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring Kafka clusters.
- Confluent Kafka certification is a plus.
