Business System Analyst

Philadelphia, PA

Required:

• US Healthcare domain knowledge is a must.
• Strong hold on SQL; demonstrated capability in writing complex queries, joins, and creating reports.
• Exposure to data warehouse projects, data management, and migration projects is required.
• Should be able to work with DBAs and database developers.
• Must have experience creating BRDs, FRDs, UML diagrams, and flow diagrams.
• Works within the identified scope of the project
• Possess in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Ability to facilitate business requirement elicitation sessions with multiple stakeholder
• Ability to coach less experienced colleagues and perform peer reviews for requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Gathers business requirements by collaborating with business stakeholders, Business Architecture, IT, and vendors (or cross-functional technical teams).
• Capture and document business requirements, including system application flows and impacts.
• Develop new process flows and functionality integration, adding clarity to requirements and documenting progress.
• Identify potential issues and risks through gap analysis.
• Plan and consult with business stakeholders on data reporting and trending reports as needed.
• Serve as the primary contact for defining business system requirements.
• Work with appropriate departments to ensure technical information is accurate and well-documented.
• Create and apply diagrams representing data flow, processes, and data transformation across systems for both current and future states.
• Maintain approved project artifacts and follow version control processes.
• Work independently with minimal guidance and collaborate effectively with the team.
• Support systems testing traceability and provide weekend and/or after-hours assistance as needed.
