Our team is searching for a Sr Software Engineer who'll be an integral part of the messaging team with other software engineers, network and systems engineers to design, implement, and deploy software which meet customer's requirements, scales easily, removes the limitations of traditional networking solutions, and supports deployment in highly available environments. You'll actively participate in the architecture and design of various software components focused on creating applications that leverage technologies such as virtualization, micro services, SDN, NFV, and Big Data platforms and technologies. We work on technical assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. We also work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative, understand implications of work and make recommendations for solutions.

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

Responsibilities:
Technical Engineering Services
- Drives engineering projects by developing software solutions; conducting tests and inspections; preparing reports and calculations. Encouraged to supervise base and associate level engineers as needed.
- Understands system protocols, how systems operate and data flows.
Innovation
- Contributes to designs to implement new ideas which use new frameworks to improve an existing or new system/process/service.
- Review existing designs and processes to highlight more efficient ways to complete existing workload more effectively through industry perspectives.
- Understands the creation of company IPR.
Technical Leadership
- Collaborates with technical teams and applies system expertise to deliver technical solutions.
- Continuously learns and mentor's others with existing and new technologies.
- Chips in with the development of others through mentoring or in house workshops and learning sessions.
Technology Strategy
- Contributes to new and existing technology options that support business goals.
- Understands current technology that supports business goals.
Technical Writing
- Writes basic documentation on how technology works. Builds clear documentation for new code and systems used.
- Documenting systems designs, presentations, and business requirements for consumption and consideration at the manager level.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with JIRA, Adobe Campaign, and Adobe Journey Optimizer
- Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA.
- Expertise in Angular 8+, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or Oracle. Ability to build and handle scalable, secure, and highly available databases using Amazon RDS with PostgreSQL.
- Deep understanding of SQL syntax, including DDL, DML, and different types of joins. Proficiency in writing stored procedures, functions, and views using PL/pgSQL.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL's features, extensions, and standard processes. Knowledge of PostgreSQL index types, CTE, temporary tables, table partitioning, and data types like json, jsonb, and bytea.
- Familiar with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and Docker.
- Knowledge of T-Mobile service messaging infrastructure and systems.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Build RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
