Job Details

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all .

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

As an HLS SystemC Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of cutting-edge hardware solutions. Your expertise in high-level synthesis (HLS) and SystemC will contribute to the design and optimization of digital circuits.

Responsibilities:

High-Level Synthesis (HLS):
  • Collaborate with the Catapult HLS platform, which translates ANSI C/C++ and SystemC inputs into register transfer level (RTL) code specifically tailored for FPGAs and ASICs.
  • Leverage LLMs (generative AI) to create HLS-ready models customized for specific architectures.
  • Explore innovative approaches to enhance existing high-level synthesis techniques using LLM and AI/ML.

Algorithmic Blocks:
  • Focus on algorithmic blocks such as video decoders, wireless compression schemes, and encryption/decryption applications.
  • Optimize loops, memory accesses, and pipelining within these algorithms.

Hardware-Accelerated Solutions:
  • Design and implement hardware-accelerated solutions for FPGA, ASIC, and SoC platforms.
  • Develop efficient design algorithms using C/C++/SystemC.

Interface Design:
  • Define interfaces for seamless connectivity within the overall design.
  • Consider communication protocols that impact the synthesis process.

Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively as part of a globally distributed team.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Qualifications:
  • PhD or Post-Doc in CS or ECE with research focus on EDA, preferably in HLS or synthesis, and LLMs/AI/ML. Alternatively, a Master's degree with over 5 years of industry experience in LLM/AI/ML and EDA.
  • Deep understanding of numerical methods and sparse matrix techniques.
  • Good knowledge of digital electrical circuits.
  • Outstanding programming skills in C/C++ or Python, preferably on the Linux platform.
  • Proficiency in memory optimization, high-performance data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with multithreading programming and understanding.

This role promises exciting challenges and opportunities to shape the future of hardware design

General Skills:
  • Positive attitude, good presentation, and communication skills.
  • Self-driven and self-motivated.
  • Ability to implement technical solutions independently.
  • Relationship-building capabilities.
  • Team player
