Data Engineer

The Data Engineer role is the software engineering position in the Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing team. This person develops reliable data ingestion to enable high-value business intelligence products. This is an individual contributor role with a focus on hands on development as well as problem solving for production support issues. 8+ years of engineering experience required including work on Azure Data Factory and Informatica Power Center / IICS.

Responsibilities -

• Delivering data integration solutions using Microsoft Azure services and other tools.
• Automate tasks and deploy production standard code with unit testing, continuous integration, versioning etc.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Work in an Agile framework.
• Primary for production support activities with secondary support from others.
• Learn and leverage new tools as required to meet evolving business requirements.

Required skills -

• Strong recent experience working as Azure Data Engineer, with some prior experience in either Informatica IICS or Power Center.
• Experience in Cloud Application Integration and Cloud Data Integration using Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions and Serverless architecture.
• Good knowledge of Rest V2, Swagger file generation and Python scripting.
• Experience in developing application integration using SOAP/REST APIs and big data technologies such as Apache Spark.
• Experience in DevOps platforms such as Azure DevOps and GitHub

Preferred skills -

• Experience in Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and/or Snowflake
• Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis
