Overview:
The Director of Information Technology plays a key leadership role in delivering scalable, reliable technology platforms that support stable business operations and enhance organizational efficiency within a 24x7x365 global environment. This position oversees the strategic direction and performance of the U.S. IT organization, structured around four primary focus areas:
- Data, Integrations, & Application Development
- Cybersecurity & IT Operations
- ERP & EDI
- IT Project Management & Business Analysis
In addition to domestic oversight, this role includes responsibility for global IT policies, standards, and support alignment to ensure consistent technology practices across all regions.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position oversees the optimization and utilization of technology across all departments, evaluating and implementing new solutions that improve business performance. The role manages the IT project portfolio, ensuring enterprise-wide initiatives are prioritized, strategically aligned, and successfully executed. Responsibilities also include IT vendor relations, budgeting, and procurement management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff to foster a high-performance culture.
- Establish and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards.
- Enhance operational efficiency by integrating systems and automating manual processes.
- Align IT structure and team skillsets with evolving business priorities.
- Define and monitor annual KPIs to measure IT performance and organizational impact.
- Develop and execute technology strategies across core areas, including cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, server and network infrastructure, data architecture, and enterprise applications (ERP, PLM, EDI, WMS, etc.).
- Research and assess emerging technologies to improve IT performance and business outcomes.
- Present technology roadmaps, costs, risks, and value to executive leadership.
- Ensure all IT initiatives align with overall company objectives and strategic plans.
- Oversee vendor contracts, negotiations, and external service provider relationships.
- Serve as a member of the senior leadership team, integrating technology initiatives with organizational goals.
- Provide executive-level reporting on IT strategy, priorities, and progress.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on IT budgeting, procurement, and financial oversight.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in technology management, operations, and strategic planning.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, IT Management, or related field.
- Minimum of five years in IT leadership, including at least two years in manufacturing, supply chain, or a similar operational environment.
