Job Title: Cisco Network Administrator - Surveillance & Access Control Systems
Overview:
We're seeking a skilled Cisco Network Administrator with expertise in firewall technologies and Linux systems. This role supports surveillance and access control technologies across a large-scale correctional environment, helping ensure the safety and security of facilities, staff, and individuals under supervision.
Role Summary:
As part of the Facilities Technology Team, you'll work on systems that include surveillance, door control, building automation, and telecommunications. These systems are critical to maintaining secure operations across several locations. You'll be involved in the full lifecycle of these technologies-from design and planning to installation, support, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, maintain, and monitor multiple enterprise networks.
  • Manage firewall filtering using Palo Alto and Zscaler technologies.
  • Support desktop PCs, servers, network devices, storage solutions, and surveillance-specific equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues independently across secure sites.
  • Create and maintain detailed system documentation.
  • Provide input on systems planning and project tracking.
  • Travel to various locations is required; long workdays may be common.
  • Required Skills:
  • Cisco routers and switches
  • Palo Alto firewalls
  • Video surveillance systems
  • Linux administration

Preferred Experience:
  • Door control systems
  • Building automation technologies

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in network, surveillance, and server support.
  • Strong problem-solving, improvisation, and adaptability.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • High level of creativity and initiative.

Note:
Due to the specialized nature of the technologies used, training will be provided for many aspects of the role.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
