Responsibilities of the Resident Network Engineer include:
- Collaborate with customers and Juniper support teams to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
- Act as the technical point of contact between the customer and Juniper's engineering teams.
- Diagnose and solve complex network problems using data analysis and industry best practices.
- Provide guidance on deploying and configuring Juniper products to align with design standards.
- Optimize network performance and security using Juniper firewalls and the Junos operating system.
Qualifications for the Resident Network Engineer include:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and implementing networking and security solutions in LAN, WAN, or internet service environments.
- Strong command of Junos CLI and experience with Juniper SRX Series firewalls, including clustering and high availability setups.
- Deep understanding of IP networking protocols and routing technologies such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and IPv6.
- Proven expertise in network security practices, including firewalls, NAT, DDoS mitigation, IPS/IDS, and application-level security.
- Skilled in configuring and operating Juniper routers, firewalls, and switches, with exposure to EX and MX Series devices.
- Experience working in large-scale service provider environments, including NOC/SOC operations and network monitoring tools.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Compensation for the Resident Network Engineer include:
- Salary: $155,000 - $165,000
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, and Holidays
