Job Title: PeopleSoft Functional/Technical Consultant
Location: Harrisburg, PA 17120 (hybrid)
Duration: 12 months contract with possible extension.
Job Description
Pennsylvania Treasury is looking for a Functional/Technical Consultant to work with the PeopleSoft Development and Human Resources teams to implement the Absence Management module and integrate it with the existing Payroll system.
Requirements
- 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study.
- 5+ years of experience as PeopleSoft Functional/Technical consultant implementing Absence Management and Payroll.
- Plan & lead implementation of PeopleSoft 9.2 Absence Management with Payroll integration according to business requirements.
- Strong understanding of Fluid user interfaces for the PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM modules HR, Payroll, and Absence Management.
- In-depth knowledge of the various functionalities within the PeopleSoft HCM modules is required.
- Design, develop, and support application solutions to meet client requirements.
- Analyze and design functional/technical solutions for PeopleSoft enhancements and continuous improvement.
- Translate end-user requirements into PeopleSoft-specific configurations and identify required customizations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
- Provide technical support in design, development, testing, and deployment of PeopleSoft applications.
- Implement change requests as per change management policies and procedures.
- Review and recommend improvements to current PeopleSoft processes.
- Coordinate with Project Manager to develop project plans and determine resource requirements.
- Maintain project technical documentation for management review.
- Provide production support for PeopleSoft applications and resolve problem tickets in a timely manner.
- Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support for business users.
- Work with the application development team to ensure technical solutions fit the business needs and overall architecture.
- Document defects identified during testing, work with application development teams to resolve them, and retest the defects until resolved.
- State/Local Government experience is highly desired.
- Strong skills in SQL scripting desired.
- Detailed and thorough in creating functional documentation for changes and issue reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Provide overall process assistance to the PeopleSoft development team.
- Strong analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Help prioritize defects to be fixed using an understanding of the business requirements and the needs of the customer.
