Transport Engineer

Experience: 7–10 Years
Work Location: Remote (Anywhere in the US)
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


Role Summary (Resume-Ready)

Transport Network Engineer with strong experience in circuit engineering, network migrations, and inventory management. Proven ability to design, plan, and execute circuit augments and migrations while ensuring zero customer impact, compliance with engineering standards, and accurate network inventory updates.


Key Responsibilities (JD-Aligned)

  • Perform detailed circuit engineering for network augments and migrations

  • Develop technical specifications for installation, grooming, and migration of circuits

  • Coordinate with Network Planning, RCAT, and Local Operations to ensure non-impacting migrations

  • Obtain required management approvals prior to issuing circuit orders

  • Submit circuit orders and schedule migration events using Kirke

  • Create and maintain designs, diagrams, and drawings in relevant systems

  • Ensure compliance with engineering, financial, planning, and operational standards

  • Maintain and update central Network Inventory Databases for:

    • New builds

    • Adds

    • Decommissions


MUST-HAVE Technical Skills (Critical)

  • Circuit order creation & engineering experience in:

    • PC

    • TCOMS

    • BGW

    • COMS

    • SNM

    • CCP

  • Submitting RMODs for circuit verification

  • Submitting and tracking events in KIRKE

  • Working knowledge of EASR and LEC Order Interfaces

  • Experience with Maintenance Tracker

  • Hands-on experience with Canvas and its applications
