NTT DATA Services currently seeks a ServiceNow Developer to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with 7-10 years of expertise in ServiceNow development and administration, specifically within the healthcare domain. The role will be 80% development-focused and 20% administration-focused, requiring strong technical skills, integration experience, and knowledge of healthcare IT processes.
Key Responsibilities
Development (80%) :
- Design, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, Healthcare Service Management).
- Develop business rules, client scripts, UI actions, UI policies, script includes, and Flow Designer workflows.
- Create custom applications using App Engine Studio to support healthcare workflows.
- Implement integrations with healthcare systems (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts) via REST/SOAP APIs, LDAP, JDBC.
- Build HIPAA-compliant workflow automations and orchestration solutions.
- Collaborate with healthcare IT teams to implement ITIL-based processes for clinical and non-clinical environments.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and support solution design discussions.
Administration (20%)
- Manage users, groups, roles, and access controls.
- Perform platform maintenance, including instance upgrades, patching, cloning, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor system performance and apply fixes to maintain platform stability.Maintain CMDB accuracy, Service Catalog configurations, and SLA definitions.
- Enforce HIPAA/HITECH security and compliance standards for PHI/PII data protection.
Required Skills & Experience
- ServiceNow Development (7-10 years): Strong hands-on experience in customization and module development (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, Healthcare Service Management).
- Programming & Scripting (6-8 years): Expertise in JavaScript, Glide API, Jelly, AngularJS, and Flow Designer.
- Integrations (5-7 years):Proven experience integrating ServiceNow with EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts) using REST, SOAP, JDBC, LDAP.
- Automation & Orchestration (5-7 years): Workflow automation, orchestration, and HIPAA-compliant healthcare process design.
- Healthcare IT Processes (5+ years): Adapting ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, CMDB) to healthcare environments.
- System Administration (4-6 years): User/role management, upgrades, patches, cloning, and CMDB/catalog management.
- Security & Compliance (5-7 years): Implementing HIPAA/HITECH standards, PHI/PII encryption, and secure access controls.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (required).
- Master's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare IT, or related discipline (preferred).
- Certifications (Preferred)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) - Required.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS - ITSM / Healthcare).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).ITIL v4 Foundation Certification.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is ($60 - 65/hourly ). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
This position is eligible for company benefits that will depend on the nature of the role offered.
