Financial Systems Programmer

Based in Los Angeles, the Financial Systems Programmer will be an integral part of the Finance team, striving to provide outstanding service to the Firm s partners, clients and others within the Firm.
This role reports to the Associate Director, Financial Systems.

Responsibilities include:
Data Warehousing: Design, develop, and maintain data warehousing solutions using Microsoft SQL Server to ensure efficient and accurate data retrieval for reporting and analytics.
Technical Development: Lead the technical development and implementation of web-based applications and analytical solutions using Microsoft .Net technologies, SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSRS.
Financial Reporting: Create ad-hoc financial reports using MS SQL and other analysis tools to provide actionable insights and support business decisions.
Process Improvement: Continuously optimize and refine processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and accuracy in all financial reporting aspects.

Qualifications:
Database Proficiency: Must have a deep understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling, and design.
Data Warehousing Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including star schema, snowflake schema, ETL processes, and OLAP using Microsoft SQL Server.
Proactive Ownership: Demonstrated ability to take initiative, owning issues, and seeking solutions beyond one's immediate domain.
Critical Thinking: Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, capable of addressing and resolving intricate challenges.
Confidentiality: Must understand and strictly adhere to principles of business relationship and confidentiality, ensuring the trustworthiness of data.
Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to varying workloads and changing priorities.
Organizational Skills: Strong prioritization and organizational skills are crucial to meet deadlines and deliver results.
Business Acumen: A solid understanding of business processes to align technical solutions with business needs.

Experience:
Professional Background: At least 6 years of experience as a developer or programmer/analyst, with a significant focus on data warehousing and financial systems.
Data Warehousing: Demonstrable experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data warehouses using Microsoft SQL Server, with a keen understanding of best practices in warehouse design.
Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with .NET, SharePoint, C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET.
SQL Server Mastery: Demonstrated proficiency working with Microsoft SQL Server, encompassing SSIS, SSRS, and advanced data warehousing techniques.
Data Understanding: Adept at understanding, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to inform business decisions and drive data-driven strategies.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $160-200k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
