Job Details

As a Markets Access Specialist, you will be the primary resource responsible for managing logical access to a wide range of trading venues. You'll maintain centralized records of connectivity, guide support teams, and help manage firmwide risk. This role involves close collaboration with trading desks, internal development teams, prime brokers (PBs), and futures commission merchants (FCMs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer exchange and venue sessions and risk controls via customer portals and broker relationships.
  • Maintain and normalize data within the internal session repository, covering the Firm's global market access.
  • Develop and maintain operational runbooks to support teammates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with trading desks to optimize fee structures and reduce liability.
  • Manage access control lists (ACLs) for trading venues.
  • Interface with internal risk and compliance stakeholders.
  • Analyze session data and script rules to enrich related platforms.
  • Maintain a catalog of execution capabilities across the Firm's entities and PB/FCM relationships.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience working with regional equity, futures, and options exchanges.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proficiency in administering exchange and market portals.
  • Understanding of exchange protocols and their differences.
  • Familiarity with market colocation sites and infrastructure.
  • Experience with scripting tools and automation.
  • Exposure to large data sets and data-driven decision-making.
  • Technical knowledge of exchange order processing, matching engines, and market data distribution topologies.
  • Solid grasp of networking fundamentals, including Unicast vs. Multicast, IP subnetting/CIDR, and routing tables.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
