Practice Technology Analyst

Job Functions:
  • Understand the legal technology landscape and how these tools support efficiencies in legal practice.
  • Serve as an expert on the end user experience associated with Firmwide and practice-specific technology.
  • Develop and maintain current awareness around new technology and its effects on users.
  • Monitor release notes for feature upgrades and bug fixes to understand and communicate their impact.
  • Conduct small group trainings and information gathering sessions related to processes and software.
  • Support the strategic implementation of the document management system and associated workflows across the Firm.
  • Participate in change management projects related to software rollouts and practice group initiatives.
  • Develop, document, and direct software deployments and upgrade testing procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT Operations and Security as appropriate during all phases of a project’s lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to monitor the effectiveness of technology solutions and help create strategy to optimize adoption.
  • Work with vendor support teams to resolve complex technical issues to ensure effective troubleshooting and communication.
  • Perform additional work-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of law firm experience, preferably in an IT end-user support or knowledge management role. 
  • Preferred software proficiencies: Microsoft Office 365, iManage Work 10, Litera Desktop, HighQ, vi by Aderant and advanced text editing and Excel techniques.
  • In-depth understanding of Generative AI concepts and their applications within the legal industry, including contract analysis, legal research, and document automation. 
  • Demonstrated the ability to work independently and collaborate with various teams while also responding to critical matters or project deadline
