The consultant will provide hands-on support to the Workday team in the following areas:

Security Assignments

  • Assign and validate Workday security roles across HR, Finance, and IT domains.
  • Review and manage Role-Based and User-Based Security Groups.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain segregation of duties and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Environment Migrations
  • Plan and execute migrations of configuration and security changes from lower environments to Production.
  • Coordinate with the Workday Support Operations team to document, track, and validate all change requests.
  • Ad-Hoc Configuration and Support
  • Assist with report migrations, calculated field updates, EIB creations, and compensation review tasks.
  • Respond to service requests and incidents related to Workday access and configuration.
  • Participate in workshops and meetings to review ServiceNow forms and improve BAU processes.

Deliverables

  • Weekly status reports summarizing completed tasks, open issues, and upcoming priorities.
  • Documentation of all changes and migrations performed, including updated audit logs.
  • Knowledge transfer and final handoff documentation provided to internal team members at the end of the engagement.

Success Criteria

  • All assigned security tasks and migrations are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • No critical issues result from changes deployed to the Production environment.
  • Stakeholders report satisfaction with the quality, clarity, and timeliness of support provided.

Job Description

We are seeking a Workday IT Administrator with a strong background in Workday Security to support environment migrations, configuration changes, and general Workday operations. This is a short-term consulting engagement focused on improving system stability, compliance, and responsiveness to internal needs.

Key Responsibilities

    • Assign and manage Workday security roles across HCM, Finance, and IT domains.
    • Perform environment migrations from lower environments to Production.
    • Support configuration tasks including calculated fields, EIBs, and report updates.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants (e.g., CrossVue) to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
    • Document all changes in accordance with security and audit standards.

Qualifications

    • 3+ years of Workday Security Administration experience.
    • Familiarity with ServiceNow and enterprise change management processes.
    • Experience with Workday HCM, Finance, and Reporting modules.
    • Strong communication and documentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
