Job Title: SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite)

Type: W2 Contract

Duration: 12+ Months (with possible extension)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled SDET Consultant to join our quality engineering team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have strong automation experience, be well-versed in testing frameworks, and demonstrate the ability to work closely with developers, BAs, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases

  • Perform end-to-end functional, regression, and integration testing

  • Work with developers to understand application architecture and business logic

  • Develop and execute automated scripts for REST APIs and UI applications

  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and track issues to resolution

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, etc.)

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience as an SDET or Automation Engineer

  • Strong hands-on experience in Java/Python/C# for automation scripting

  • Proficiency with tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, RestAssured, Postman

  • Experience in API testing and validating JSON/XML responses

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Maven)

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development lifecycle

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

  • Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow)
