Job Title: Senior Integration Engineer
Location: Quincy, MA
Duration: 6 Months
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Integration Engineer with strong technical expertise and leadership qualities to join a large-scale public sector IT initiative. The role focuses on planning, designing, and implementing integration solutions aligned with organizational policies and IT standards. The incumbent will contribute to enterprise-wide system optimization and support the implementation of a Local Public Health Data Solution Project.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, implementation, and administration of middleware solutions, ensuring system performance and adherence to best practices.
Design, implement, and maintain APIs (SOAP & REST).
Collaborate with application development teams to build API capabilities, including security and policy management.
Develop and maintain a service/API registry.
Perform code reviews, document unit test results, and prepare deployment documentation for code promotions.
Participate in project planning, design, development, and release management for shared service components and applications.
Liaise with end users, developers, system administrators, management, and external stakeholders to ensure successful system implementation.
Coordinate vendor support as needed.
Maintain comprehensive task lists, documentation, designs, and other artifacts for APIs and integration projects.
Investigate and recommend new tools, techniques, and solutions to improve integration standards and practices.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
3+ years working with MuleSoft and experience with connectors (e.g., Salesforce).
Experience with other integration technologies (e.g., Informatica).
10+ years of software development experience.
Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Oracle OSB 12c, and AWS services (API Gateway, AWS Glue, WAF).
Experience with XML and JSON schema, TLS/SSL, and digital encryption/signatures.
Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and Azure security protocols.
Experience with development tools such as SVN, Git, SOAPUI, Postman.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Capable of mentoring junior technical team members.
Strong design, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 8 years of IT experience in technical roles.
MuleSoft certification preferred.
