Job Details

Job Title: DevOps Engineer with RHEL
Location: Manassas, VA
Duration: 12 Months (with possible extension)
Interview Mode: In-Person (Local candidates or candidates willing to attend in-person interview are preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Owner and Squad members to configure, build, test, and maintain on-prem RHEL platform automation.

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of solutions: Design, Development, Testing, Deployment, and Support.

  • Deploy infrastructure and applications following change management processes.

  • Provide L2 operational support for RHEL infrastructure.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally following DevOps/Agile principles.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of systems, applications, and procedures.

  • Engage with internal teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.

  • Continuously improve operations through automation and knowledge sharing.

  • Work in an office-first hybrid model.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology or related field.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building and supporting RHEL platforms in large enterprise environments.

  • Strong proficiency in Linux systems administration (RHEL) including OS commands, disk volumes, kernel-level troubleshooting.

  • Solid understanding of Networking & TCP/IP.

  • Experience automating deployments using Ansible.

  • Experience performing system maintenance and upgrades via Ansible Controller & Red Hat Satellite.

  • Strong scripting skills: Shell scripting, Ansible playbooks for system administration.

  • Experience with configuration management/orchestration (Cloudbees).

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GIT/Bitbucket).

  • Proficient in VMware operations: templates, snapshots, VM provisioning.

  • Experience with infrastructure automation/orchestration tools: vRA / vRO.
