Computer Enterprises, Inc. (CEI) is seeking a talented OpenShift Container Platform Engineer to join our Banking Client's dynamic team.


Job at a glance:

  • This position is planned for contract to hire
  • Eligible to sign up for benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k) on day 1
  • Pay range will be $65-75/hr on W2
  • Hybrid position, 3 days/wk onsite and 2 days remote. Can work at locations in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Birmingham, AL; Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ
  • Due to the sensitivity of the work, must be a USC or GC
  • Interview process will involve 2 rounds video interview 
  • Seeking candidates with strong skills in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes platforms, Ansible, and Azure
Job Description:
 
As an OCP Engineer, you will play a critical role in building and supporting non-production testing environments, enabling predictive performance testing for major digital platforms like Online Banking. This modernization effort enhances tools, standards, governance, and metrics for scalability and reliability testing—and is being rolled out enterprise-wide.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and maintain Red Hat OpenShift and other Kubernetes-based platforms.
  • Manage the provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of OpenShift clusters.
  • Collaborate with development and automation teams to support ACM/DSV initiatives.
  • Optimize cluster performance and reliability for scalability testing.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, networking, and applications.
  • Assist in the build-out of testing environments aligned with the client / group's strategy.
  • Participate in process improvements related to provisioning and automation.

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Red Hat Linux operating systems.

Preferred/Bonus Skills:
  • Experience with ARO (Azure Red Hat OpenShift).
  • Solid understanding of networking and storage architecture in containerized environments.
  • Familiarity with hosted applications and large-scale deployments.
  • Strong Linux command-line and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools such as ArgoCD, Ansible, and Jenkins.
  • Effective communication with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
  • Creative, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to participate in weekend shifts when necessary.
