BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company is looking for an amazingly talented Roadway Engineer Intern to join our team! In this role you will get to contribute to large-scale engineering projects and gain practical experience in a highway and roadway design. By joining Parsons, you'll be part of our well-established Summer Internship Program with 170+ interns nationwide. Job Description:
BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company is looking for an amazingly talented Roadway Engineer Intern to join our team! What You'll Be Doing:
- Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Assist with the geometric design of highways and roadways, including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, superelevation diagrams, gore details, vertical clearance calculations, and grading plans.
- Perform material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and field surveys as required.
- Use design software and CAE/CAD applications to develop and implement project designs.
- Provide technical guidance and input to CAD drafters, designers, and other engineers working on the project team.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support project delivery.
What Required Qualifications You'll Bring:

- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills
- Eager to learn, self-motivated, and flexible
- Excellent organizational and management skills
What Desired Qualifications You'll Bring:
- Working knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Microstation is a plus
- Prior transportation or infrastructure engineering internship experience preferred
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
