  • Minimum 5 years of experience conducting STIG assessments and vulnerability remediation in a DoD environment
  • Hands-on experience with DISA SCAP tools, STIG/SRG compliance, and CVE analysis
  • Proficiency with RMF, NIST SP 800 series, and other DoD cybersecurity policies and guidance
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in team-oriented environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting

Required Clearance:
  • ship with an active Secret clearance required; ability to obtain Top-Secret/SCI

Desired Qualifications:
  • DoD 8570 IAM Level I, II, or III certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP)
  • Experience with automated security verification tools and procedures
  • Familiarity with Linux command-line interfaces, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and Kubernetes
  • Experience with security scanning tools such as ACAS, Nessus, or OpenSCAP
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security implications
  • Understanding of container security best practices (e.g., image signing, runtime security)
  • Experience using SBOM (Software Bill of Materials) tools for software supply chain transparency (e.g., Syft, Grype)
  • Ability to assess risk areas and recommend practical remediation strategies
  • Experience supporting Assessment & Authorization activities and Continuous Authorization to Operate within RMF and DevSecOps frameworks

Soft Skills:
  • Strong communicator able to translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative team player who actively shares knowledge and promotes best practices across teams.
  • Demonstrates initiative and accountability, rising to challenges and adapting to rapidly changing requirements.
  • Willing and eager to mentor junior analysts, fostering their growth and building team capability.
