Scientist - II (Associate)

Pay Range: $30 - $35/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory and registration of tissue samples.
• Label tissue samples according to internal identification and tissue type.
• Catalog stained slides and FFPE tissue blocks for archival purposes.
• Communicate closely with external vendors to organize periodic shipments.
• May be asked to manage various tasks in support of the Anatomic Pathology laboratory human tissue panels.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Associate's degree OR Bachelor's degree with equivalent direct work experience of minimum two (2) years of in laboratory setting within hospital/pharma/biotech or CRO.
• Proficiency in working with tabular data (i.e. Microsoft Excel).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Proven track record of analytical skills, problem solving and attention to detail.
• High personal integrity and credibility.
• Proficiency in Labware Biorepository database, or similar tissue banking software.
• Prior experience in sample management.
• Prior experience in logistics.
