Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical components using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Create detailed parts, assemblies, and engineering drawings for production and testing.
  • Interpret dimensional and GD&T-based engineering drawings to support manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive new product development from concept to launch.
  • Design and assemble mechanical and electrical test fixtures and support production tooling.
  • Conduct empirical testing and root-cause analysis to resolve design and production issues.
  • Review technical documents, drawings, and material cost analyses related to new orders.
  • Support quality initiatives including ECNs, document revisions, and ISO/corrective action processes.

What you need for this position:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software (e.g., Creo).
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status (due to regulatory compliance); must pass background and drug screening.
  • Experience with mechanical fixture design, hands-on assembly, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with optics fundamentals, analog circuit design, and camera systems is a plus.
  • Bonus skills: Python or C# programming, Eagle PCB software, 3D printing, or knowledge of precision manufacturing processes (machining, coatings, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
