Pay Range: $35 - 40/hr. The pay rate may differ depending on your skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.

Job Description:
- Client is looking for two CNC Machinists 3 to support our position for our Beltsville, MD facility. The position is for 2ND shift. The candidate will set-up and operate a variety of machines such as lathes, mills, manual shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions
Responsibilities:
- Machine set-up
- Interpret Blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
- Determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of set-up.
- Use a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
- Measures, marks and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.
- Fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required.
- Some machines may be numerically controlled.
- May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other procedures.
Basic Qualifications for Machinist 3:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating CNC machines in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Strong understanding of machining techniques and materials
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications for Machinist 3:
- Experience with reading and writing CNC programs
- Experience with wire EDM
- Experience with GD&T
