Join our Toyota Material Handling Team as a Sales Operations Planner

The Role:

We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Sales Operations Planner who brings decisiveness, strong decision-making, and expertise to the table. The Sales Planner plays a key role in the Production Control team by managing customer orders, monitoring finished goods inventory, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This position involves hands-on work in SAP and Zendesk to process order entries, resolve issues, and maintain seamless communication across departments. The ideal candidate demonstrates a high level of efficiency, organization, and urgency in managing sales planning activities, ensuring timely execution of deliverables and proactive resolution of issues.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Order Management
    • Accurately process and track customer orders using SAP using standard operating procedures.
    • Monitor and verify the completeness of order data and delivery timelines.
    • Proactively communicate any changes, delays, or updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Finished Goods Planning
    • Analyze sales trends and forecast demand to maintain optimal inventory levels of finished goods.
    • Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to ensure product availability.
    • Identify and flag potential stock shortages or overages and recommend corrective actions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with sales, logistics, production, and customer service teams to resolve customer issues quickly and effectively.
    • Serve as the liaison between external customer expectations and internal operational capabilities.
  • Customer Support & Issue Resolution
    • Deliver prompt and professional responses to customer inquiries and complaints .
    • Ensure issues are documented, investigated, and resolved in a timely manner.
    • Provide insight into recurring customer problems and contribute to process improvements.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Generate reports on sales performance, order fulfillment, and inventory metrics.
    • Leverage data to drive decision-making , optimize finished goods carrying costs, and continuously improve planning and fulfillment processes

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience (minimum of 4 years)
  • Proficient with MS Office applications and highly talented in Excel (formulas)
  • Strong analytical and data skills
  • Must be able to problem solve and handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Where and When You'll Work:
  • This is an in-person role located at our Columbus, Indiana office-ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
  • Travel: up to 25-30% (domestic and international)

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:

Salary - $65,000 - 90,000 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.

Relocation: This role is eligible for relocation assistance based on current location
