Manager - IT SOX PMO & Controls Advisory

Role Summary The Manager will oversee the IT SOX PMO program and lead the delivery of remediation and readiness projects. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage client relationships, lead a team of associates, and provide high-level advisory on IT Project Management and SOX compliance. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of the project through the October cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • PMO Leadership: Lead the IT SOX PMO program, tracking project timelines, milestones, and deliverables for the remediation lifecycle.
  • Strategic Remediation: Oversee the "SOX Uplift" for the client, providing expert guidance on complex deficiency remediation and control redesign.
  • System Readiness Oversight: Serve as the lead advisor for new system onboarding, ensuring all IT Project Management (PMO) workstreams align with SOX compliance requirements.
  • Review & Quality Control: Perform high-level reviews of Senior Associate workpapers, ensuring technical accuracy of ITand ITAC testing.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for client management, presenting findings and progress reports regarding the control environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Location: Must be based in the Bay Area (SF/San Jose) and able to work onsite 3 days per week.
  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in IT Audit/SOX, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Certification: CISA or CPA is highly preferred.
  • Expertise: Advanced knowledge of C2 controls, IT Project Management (PMO), and the transition of systems from implementation to SOX compliance.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, ability to manage tight deadlines through October, and excellent communication skills for executive-level reporting.

Project Details

  • Timeline: Early February/March through October.
  • Hours: 40 hours/week (OT required during peak testing/remediation phases).
  • Onsite Policy: 3 days per week in the Bay Area (No exceptions).
