Description

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory Research Analyst to join our team supporting the DoD Office of Strategic Capital (OSC). The successful candidate will provide advanced systems engineering and technical advisory support focused on complex systems design, integration, and optimization to OSC. This role supports OSC's Chief Technology and Engineering Officer (CTEO) and requires collaboration with diverse stakeholders, exceptional communication skills, expertise in project management (in research, development, or emerging commercial settings), and risk mitigation in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment. This position will be hybrid in Arlington, VA. It will require travel up to 15% of the time.

This position is CONTINGENT and anticipated for Fall 2025.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate technical findings, risks, issues, and recommendations with subject matter experts and present them clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Develop and monitor strategies to integrate system and subsystem components across multiple technology areas, including an understanding of system engineering practices and terminologies.
  • Support technical working groups.
  • Conduct meta-analysis of technology developments.
  • Understand technology roadmaps.
  • Foster relationships with stakeholders including OUSD(R&E) Principal Directors, OUSD(A&S), and the Services.
  • Maintain awareness of state-of-the-art technology developments.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Clearance:
  • Active SECRET with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
  • ship.

Education and Work Experience:
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in BioTech, Energy and Minerals, or Space industries.

Skills:
  • Expertise in project management within research, development, or emerging commercial settings.
  • Strong statistical skills and experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as R, Stata, Matlab, etc.
  • Proficient in standard Office tools.
  • Ability to integrate technical findings, risks, issues, and recommendations and present them clearly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, able to quickly learn unfamiliar areas, and maintain focus in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work professionally with partners from diverse expert backgrounds.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
