Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Data Scientist who will be working on a team to quantify investments for reliability improvement, report on historical reliability trends, and prioritize areas needing grid hardening and rejuvenation. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is willing to go above and beyond to support stakeholder requests and shows potential to "hit the ground running". This position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities
Develop and recommend data sampling techniques, data collections, and data cleaning specifications and approaches.
Analyze data using advanced analytics techniques with tools such as Python, R, Scala, Spark, or Hadoop.
Access and analyze data from various company systems of record.
Provide expert data and analytics support to multiple business units.
Develop key predictive models.
Perform stakeholder collaboration across the organization.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
5-10 years of experience.
Experience in Python, including packages such as pandas, SQLAlchemy, NUMPY, and Native Python Data Structure.
Proficiency in SQL and Power BI.
Experience with Azure DevOps and GIT commands.
Strong analytical skills.
Background in statistical modeling and predictive analysis.
Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for the job function.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience in the Utility industry and/or with Esri (Environmental System Research Institute).
